we want quality
we want stability
Then they behave as if they can pick only one.
That is exactly why Accelerate is useful.

Some leaders love saying new things.
Good for conferences. Not always good for teams.
Because in actual teams, one of the most underrated leadership skills is not originality.
It is useful repetition.
The best leaders I have seen repeat the right things so consistently that people stop feeling confused even when work is hard.
Most people think leadership means:

more escalations
more approvals
more visibility
Nope.

Can your team produce good output without you becoming the bottleneck?

It is an old book, yes. But old doesnt mean outdated.
Some books teach motivation. This one teaches operating system.
And if you are leading engineering teams in fintech, banking, or any high pressure setup, operating system matters a lot more than motivational quotes.
